The attorneys at Crisham & Kubes have an outstanding reputation and track record in the area of Appellate Practice. Crisham & Kubes’ attorneys have briefed and argued cases in state appellate and supreme courts, as well as in various circuits of the United States Court of Appeals. Our attorneys are often called upon by other law firms regarding appellate strategy, and have appeared as amicus curiae on behalf of various professional organizations in significant supreme court cases.

Two of our attorneys joined the firm after having served as Illinois Appellate Court/Supreme Court clerks, and the attorneys at Crisham & Kubes over the years have accumulated dozens of reported opinions and have successfully advanced arguments that established law on significant legal issues.

Tom Crisham and Jean Prendergast are members of the Appellate Lawyers Association, and Jean Prendergast, one of our partners, co-authors, Cases Pending, a comprehensive quarterly catalogue of all civil, non-capital criminal and contested disciplinary cases currently pending before the Illinois Supreme Court and has served on the Board of Directors of the Appellate Lawyer’s Association and the Illinois State Bar Association’s Special Committee on Appellate Practice, and currently serves as Treasurer of the Appellate Lawyer’s Association.
