Molenhouse v. Hanjin Shipping Co., Ltd.: Tom Crisham and Dan Stanner won summary judgment in the Circuit Court of Cook County in a case in which the plaintiff was injured while transporting a shipping container in a railyard. Crisham & Kubes' client, Hanjin Shipping Co., Ltd., was the carrier which owned the shipping container, but had not loaded or sealed that container. The circuit court agreed with Crisham & Kubes' argument that a carrier which delivers a sealed container has no liability arising out of another party's improper packing of that container.
